Ok, we’re adding some human silliness here, but we know it. A female Brown Pelican will not find a colorful male silly, or at least he hopes not.
- White-tailed Kite: No need to drive this far to see
a White-tailed Kite, but that's where this photo was taken.
- Surf Scoter: Because Shoreline Lake is salt water, it
manages to fool these "clown-faced" Surf ducks into hanging
out here. Also, there is plenty of salt water food.
- Brown Pelican: This breeding plumage Brown Pelican is
found all along West Cliff Drive on the rocks close to the
cliff.
- Turkey Vulture: Turkey Vulture, anywhere. This close on
a post, not so much.
